Dr. Victor Tarsia graduated from the State University of New York School at Stony Brook of Medicine in 1998 and immediately entered the SUNY – Stony Brook Emergency Medicine Residency.

Prior to his medical school training, Dr. Tarsia had worked as an EMT in Valley Stream, New York and in the Columbia Area Volunteer Ambulance.  During medical school, he was President of the Emergency Medicine Club and worked as an Emergency Medicine Research Assistant.

Upon completing his residency, Dr. Tarsia joined the SUNY Stony Brook Emergency Medicine Faculty.  Currently, Dr. Tarsia serves as the EMS Medical Director for the Department.
